Sia Mai graduated from the highly acclaimed Danmarks Designskole in 1994, specialising in original glass creations.

She characteristically uses her work to investigate the different kinds of glass containers in which we keep our food and drink, in order to make our daily meals a sensual experience.

Sia Mai's glass creations are all handblown in The Kingdom of Crystal - a part of Sweden with a long and strong tradition of making hand blown glassware.

Sai Mai has participated in major exhibitions, including New Danish Glass at The National Glass Centre England in 1999 and in 2003 was invited to participate in the Chengju International Crafts Biennial in Korea. Most recently her works have been represented at the Augenschmaus at craft2eu in Hamburg in 2005 and the CC+ exhibition at the MOMA in New York in 2006.

Sia's work is available exclusively in Australia and New Zealand through Elevate.
