anne black seam range
Anne Black wanted to create a collection where the dot and dash pattern would appear to be sewn with a sewing-machine. In her first experiments, Anne pressed grains of rice into the damp clay. Unfortunately they exploded when the porcelain was fired. But after testing a variety of other ideas, she found the best solution – tools used by her dentist could make the transparent perforations she was seeking.
The Seam Collection consists of candle holders, mugs, bowls, vases, flowerpots and lamps.
