Anne Black
HANDMADE CERAMICS HOMEWARES AND JEWELLERY
Anne Black is an internationally successful Danish designer, who creates classical porcelain products with a unique contemporary look. The collection is recognised for its clean, simple forms and delicate, understated graphical decorations that defines Anne’s design language. A language which clearly reflects the Scandinavian design tradition to which Anne belongs.
Each product is carefully crafted by hand creating innovative shapes with a rich variety of patterns, which combines to deliver an intimate and personal porcelain collection. Anne is educated as a ceramicist and is based in Copenhagen. Her collection consists of a wide range of home products such as vases, bowls, cups as well as jewellery, and can be found in selected fashion and interior design shops around the world.
All products are made by hand in porcelain and therefore size, shape, decoration and colours may vary accordingly.

Production occurs in both Copenhagen and Hanoi depending on the item. The collections consist of unique products featuring a variety of different decorations. When placing orders, customers are able to select the shape/models and colours. However the type of pattern decoration in some collections can not be specified and come assorted when ordering. All interior homeware products (excluding the pendant lamps) are dishwasher safe. The products can be used in the microwave oven but not in conventional ovens.
Anne Black is co-owner of a small ceramic factory located outside of Hanoi, Vietnam in a joint venture with a Vietnamese partner, Mrs Hang. This was established with the ongoing support, supervision and guidance of the official agency DANIDA, the Danish Institute of Development. The co-ownership means Anne Black is able to control working conditions in the factory. The working environment has been developed with assistance from international experts and is comparable to Danish standards. Therefore the production is monitored and continuously developed in relation to the working environment, health, sociaal rights, external environmental load and technical competencies. A fair trade co-operation.
Last year Queen Margrethe of Denmark and Princess Mary inspected the Hanoi factory.
